I believe in an internet where social media isn't keeping the monopoly on data and views. The algorithm deciding if your creations or works are being shown at all on the never-ending scrolling feed. Even when people follow you, your posts may never be shown, and it hurts. Visibility shouldnt be left for a machine to decide who is important and who is not. This website is trying to show how one can make their own site, and use them for what they need, fitting perfectly one's needs, while also not being hidden or glorified by a lucky strike. Though, how would people know then to check your site?
I believe RSS can be a good tool to help in this decentralization of the web. RSS needs to have better, streamlined readers, I tried looking for one online and they most required accounts, and were fully online services. Why would you need a Google account linked just to check if a list of RSS feeds changed? Its dumb, there needs to be a simple RSS reader that runs on the own machine, checks if pages updated their feed on request, and nothing else

RSS (Really Sexy(?) Syndication)

RSS feeds are small text files in xml format that allow to cheaply and quickly check if a page has changed, or uploaded a new thing. Its like a notification system! Your updates are always going to be shown to people who follow your RSS file web direction, the only way they can miss it is if they literally dont see the update in their reader. And readers do not filter what notifications you get, unlike most social media that uses algorithmic numbers which are a mistery, and can cause you to be a ghost, even with a big following number. I tried looking for an RSS reader and the amount of apps is overwhelming, and difficult to choose for any new user of RSS. We need to be more welcoming of people who dont know much about computers and internet, so checking blog updates is as easy as scrolling through Twitter (X if you like licking Elon's boot) or Instagram.

RSS should be more accessible, so people can start building their own, infinitely customizable websites to bring their content to the next level, completely wildly and untamed!

End of Kiwi's rant, thanks for reading!
